Hi Everyone,
It’s finally half-term! Well done for getting through a busy few weeks and for all the amazing things you have been up to, from dance, music, sport, art and academics!
Special mention to the girls 1stXVI Hockey for becoming the Independent Schools National Champions, and to the girls 1stVI Netball for winning their semi-finals and making it through to national finals! Also, congratulations to all those athletes that competed in Cardiff and the Welsh Indoors last weekend.
Well done to all those that made it to the Millfield Instrumentalist of the Year Final last night, and congratulations to Angie Bonnetti for winning the Contemporary Finals last weekend!
What Should I Say?:
Following the rally that occurred last term, many people said they weren’t sure how to talk about sexual violence etc as it is such a sensitive topic. They wanted a opportunity to be able to discuss and ask question in an open non-judgmental environment. Therefore, we ar going to run a dinner and discussion on Monday 21st February to give people the chance to do this. If you are interested in coming please fill in the forms via the link below. It would be really great to see some of you supporting this. If you have any questions you would like answered during the evening or want more information please send us a message!

Sanitary Products Pilot:
After half-term, we will be running a pilot scheme for having free sanitary products for emergency use in the girls toilets in A and B block. This will be run through the Girl Up scheme of ‘take one if you need one, leave one if you have one spare’. If you are interested in being part of setting up and running this initiative (it would count as part of your MBA award) please get in touch with Anabelle (heffam@millfieldschool.com).
Also it would be really appreciated if anyone wanted to donate any sanitary products to help start up the programme.
Increase in relations between Senior School and the Prep School:
We have been discussing how we can increase the movements of students between the senior school and the prep school and increase interaction between students from both campuses. If you have any ideas or would like to be involved please get in touch?
Accurate Menus on Noticeboards:
A system has been found to make it possible to display the menus on digital noticeboards after half-term.
Brilliance Exchange:
Just a quick reminder to bring back some old, unused clothes after halt-term to sell as part of the Brilliance Exchange taking place at the end of term!
We hope you have an enjoyable and restful break. As ever, please do get in touch with us or feel free to talk to us around school. We are always happy to hear from you!
Your Heads of School,
Anabelle and Sam
